Weigh Yourself Every Morning

I have read through the years any number of diet and exercise "experts" who say the exact opposite. They say do NOT weigh yourself every day, instead, do it at regular intervals. The show the Biggest Loser does it this way, but I think much of that is because the show needs the weekly drama and suspense. For you, though, I recommend a daily weigh in. Here's why. When I get dialed in on working out and losing weight, I want that EVERY DAY accountability of what the scale tells me when I wake up. It may not be the best reflection of my "real" weight on a given day, but it's a daily reminder: you are in a WAR against your fat. If you don't fight that war every day, every night, making sure to not skip workouts, to not cheat on your diet, then you won't lose weight nearly as fast as you can, or should. A lot times, I would forgo a little snack at night, precisely because I was worried that it might tip my morning "weigh in weight" a mere 1/4 pound in the wrong direction. Now that may sound maniacal, or unhealthy, like a paranoid runway model. So be it. It worked for me.

Your Czabaeness,

Agreed. You need to do it every day or at least five or six days a week. At least some of us do, me included. I hate it, but it does make you think about that extra snack before bedtime after watching another sorry ass local team lose on tv. :-) Now that I'm trying to get back into shape, that's what I'll be doing.
