Techniques for stretching
Exercise: that thing on our to-do list every single day that so rarely gets checked off. When we do finally find time to do it, we want to make the most of it and often neglect an essential step of the workout regimen: stretching. According to Reuters, “experts say . . . stretching will help you hone your performance, stave off injury, improve your posture and even improve your mood.” You wouldn’t start driving your car without putting its tires on-the same theory applies here. …

End of Week 1
I just finished week one (and started week 2). After the first round, I was well and truly challenged. I did all of the workouts, and Ab Ripper X (Holy Crap!!). I was that very special "good kind of sore" that you want to achieve if you want to be in shape (and I THOUGHT I was in shape). Now as I look down the barrel of weeks 2 thru 12, I am looking forward to the other changes (my abs, while good before, have more definition that in the last 20 years). I will "Bring It:.

Just placed the order
My Gym membership is coming to an end soon and as a full time student, husband and father, finding time for the gym is extremely difficult. The wife and I both will be doing the program so we are pretty pumped. I thought I had seen at one point a tip sheet for Czabe's eating habits during the workouts. Can anyone direct me to that posting? Thanks!

P90x group starting Monday Dec. 26
Whats up... I have just gotten P90x and will be starting on Monday, Dec. 26 and would like to know if there is any other people that are getting ready to start the program so that we can share success, heartache, and struggles along the way. If so drop me a line.

Day 10-11
Bummer. I missed my calendar day 10 on Tues, but I regrouped did it a day later. Day 11 followed. This means my rest/X stretch on Sunday will turn into a workout day and I'll be back on schedule.
I modify the shoulders / arms exercises.
I fear the Cohen curls (?) where you bend at the waist, due to back problems. So I substitute in my own exercise: Curls of Insanity. Standing with a dumbbell in each hand. You do right, both, left, both. And repeat to failure. Ouch.…

Day 9
Day 8 was easier than day 1. I think because I forced myself to do 1-7. Might as well do 8 while I'm on a roll...
Diet is going poorly. My triceps are regressing. Like I said, I have been doing upper body for 6 months and tris were getting pumped. Gotta mix in the heavy weights somehow...
P90X music sucks. I can't wait until I know the routines well enough to turn off the sound.

Day 8
Czabe inspired me.
I actually tried this a year ago, but was in such abysmal shape that I couldn't handle it. I spent the year mostly dorking off. But took up light weightlifting in July to help my son with sports. As he got into his sports, I took up P90X again. The prep has paid off.
I am no stranger to this type of workout. At Virginia Tech back in the day, we had something they called "Tech Super-Aerobics", led by, among others, the lovely Tanya Miller. It was a…

Less than 210 by March 1
I completed P90X Day 1 today.
I just turned 31 yesterday and feel like I am in the worst shape of my life. I am 6 feet, weight 239 lbs with a nice gut and flabby man-boobs. My daily workout usually consists of lifting the tv remote and dunking oreos. I think I will be able to commit to waking up early every day to work out, but eating healthy will be my challenge. I have healthy breakfast sandwiches to eat in the morning and my wife makes good dinners, but lunch may be a problem. I…

Back in the game
Came back for round 2.
Much like Czabe, I went through the program a few years back, got ripped, fell back a bit, and am now back to correct my mistakes.
Through day 2, sore as hell, but feeling great about recommitting.
Starting at 5'9" - 207. Want to get down to 180. The diet part is always the hardest..... that and Yoga X.....
I will keep you posted.

Czabe's P90x Journey II - The Sequel!
In case you listeners have not heard my updates on the show ("The Steve Czaban Show" heard nationally on Yahoo! Sports Radio) I am back on the P90x wagon full time.
Like many of us, I had grown fat and happy with my success.
Well, let's just say "fat." I certainly wasn't happy.
When I began P90x in September of 2009, I was a lumpy, grumpy, 232 pounds and without any real muscle anywhere. When I was done 90 days later, I was a lean and mean 202 with…

2nd Week of P90X!
Hello Team Czabe
Let me be honest, I want to see results now! But, I know I have to be patient.
My first week was tough. I got through Core Syn, Cardio X, and Shoulder and Arms/Ab Ripper (Monday, Tuesday, Wed). I weigh about 216 and stand 5-10 with a nice little belly. Ab Ripper did not go well, I might take someone's suggestion and just do a few, or skip until my next 90 days (need to lose the belly, need stronger core).
I lost it on Thursday and Friday (did no…

Just bought P90X!
Hello Team Czabe
Just bought my kit tonight. I need to lose 30 lbs and want to look good naked!
Seriously, need to be in better shape at 38, soon to be 39.
If everyone else can do this, I just need to put in the effort!
Thanks
Chuck (regular caller to the show)!

2nd 90 days of P90X
I started P90X back in December weighing in at 280lbs. It was tough, but I stuck to it. I didn't do any of the AB workouts because after the first attempt of AB Ripper I realized my lower back wasn't as strong as I thought it was, so I decided after I finish the 90 days I would add the AB workouts to my 2nd round. I am happy to say that when I finished the first 90 days I lost over 25lbs. I took at 3 week break and am now into my 2nd 90 day program. I love how much more energy I have…

Plyometrics
Yep. Disc 2 already. Actually Saturday. Got thru to 39 & chg. What's that? About 24 min? But I only quit cuz I couldn't breathe. But I could celebrate my achievement with Subway's weekly footlong meatball and pepperoni sub with everything. I'm sure I lost weight. But before I could check--drove all nite to Erlanger KY. And back. No disc 3 Sunday but I did get through it today. Except for the Congdon Curls. And the warmup cooldown and last lie-on-the-floor one.
Warms…
